 Smartwood is a friendly, family-run business. We pride ourselves in offering quality furniture and home accessories which represent good value for money – we also aim to give our customers a high level of customer service from point of sale to after delivery.

Smartwood was established in 2001 – although the “Crombies” have been importing and retailing quality furniture for nearly 20 years ever since Graham started manufacturing garden furniture. Very quickly they realised that to offer the same exceptional quality combined with value for money for the customer then a wider manufacturing base was needed. Smartwood was born.

Manufacturers are chosen for the quality of their products, innovative styling, level of finishing, range of pieces and for timber furniture: the level of care in manufacturing with this beautiful natural product.

We also have a strong ethical base to the business and our choice of suppliers and products:

·         Our offices and warehousing run a full recycling program which helps generate money to help a local swimming pool with running costs.

·         The vast majority of our hardwood suppliers use timber from sustainable sources and many are FSC accredited.

·          We offer a furniture recycling scheme in partnership with the British Heart Foundation  for any old or unwanted furniture our customers are replacing.
